County Waste a Waste Connections Company is looking to add a Mechanic Apprentice to our team in Clifton Park NY.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am start time

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Our priority is to make sure we hire mechanics that care about the safety of our drivers and the service provided to the community. As a mechanic with us the minimum responsibilities are:

• Assists experienced mechanics withvehicle maintenanceand repairs learning the trade under supervision.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and equipment
• Conduct oil changes filter replacements tire rotations andlubrication
• Assist with brakes inspections fluid levels belts hoses and other key components
• Identify potential issues and report necessary repairs to the lead mechanic
• Maintain accurate service records and reports
• Keep work areas clean and organized in compliance with safety regulations
• Assist with minor repairs and support the mechanic team as needed

What we need from you:

• Mechanical aptitude a drive to learn and grow with a team.
• Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments to complete work assignments
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Welding/fabricationexperience a major plus
