Duties Description Criminal Justice DivisionOrganized Crime Task Force Assistant Deputy Attorney General - White Plains Reference No. OCTF WP ADAG_3861Application Deadline is May 1, 2026Salary Range: $83,594 - $178,463 + $4,000 in location payTo be considered for this opportunity, submit a complete application online at ag.ny.gov/job-postings/attorneysThe Office of the New York State Attorney General (OAG) is seeking an experienced prosecutor to join its Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF) located in White Plains. OCTF conducts long-term criminal investigations related to gang activity, drug trafficking, firearms trafficking, loan sharking, bookmaking, money laundering, fraud, grand larceny, labor racketeering, and other white-collar crime as well as human trafficking. OCTF is comprised of dedicated attorneys, analysts, and detectives who are responsible for cases from the inception of the investigation through final disposition.Under the direction of the Deputy Bureau Chief and Deputy Attorney General in Charge, Assistant Deputy Attorneys General perform detailed oversight of complex, long-term criminal investigations, meet strict deadlines, and work collaboratively with OAG's law enforcement partners across the state. Extensive writing experience is required in the areas of eavesdropping warrant applications, search warrants, and indictments.

Minimum Qualifications Qualifications:- Minimum of seven (7) years of prosecutorial experience, including handling complex investigations, substantial grand jury, and trial experience.- Experience with investigative techniques such as search warrants, wiretaps, cooperating witnesses, undercover operations, and forensic analysis of documents and financial records. - Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.- Firm grasp of Criminal Procedure Law Articles 700, 705, 690, the Stored Communications Act, and federal reporting requirements for court-authorized eavesdropping. Applicants must reside in (or intend to soon become a resident of) New York state and be admitted to practice law in New York state. In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that OAG attorneys be citizens of the United States. A two (2) year commitment upon being hired is a condition of employment.
