Job Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for travel assignments in various healthcare facilities. The MLT will perform diagnostic laboratory tests , analyze biological specimens, and ensure accurate and timely results for patient care. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to laboratory safety protocols .

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood, tissue, and bodily fluids.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments .
  • Analyze test results and report findings to physicians and medical teams .
  • Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory guidelines .
  • Maintain quality control procedures to ensure test accuracy.
  • Prepare specimens for testing and processing .
  • Maintain detailed laboratory records and reports .
  • Monitor inventory levels and order laboratory supplies.
  • Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments .

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
  • Certification: ASCP, AMT, or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a laboratory setting.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities .
  • Travel Readiness: Willingness to accept travel assignments .
