Get to Know Your Team:

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

• The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with the physician and the anesthesia health care providers to determine patient needs during Endoscopic & GI procedures to assume responsibility for patient care, document and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensure a safe environment of care.
• The Registered Nurse will be knowledgeable about the scrub and circulation of duties performed in the department.
• Age Specific Competencies – age of the patient populations served (Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric)

Job Requirements: 

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

• 0+ years’ experience.

• Current NJ Registered Nurse License.

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

• Ability to adapt to changing situations.

• Strong assessment skills, along with some case management knowledge when caring for short-term patients

Preferred Job Requirements: 

• 1+ years’ experience as an RN working in an Endoscopy department.

• Certification in a specialty.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
