Job Description

Receptionist

Weekends | Saturdays from 9 am - 5 pm

** Pay Rate of $14/hr **

The Receptionist supports our mission and values by answering the main phone system, event guest assistance, perform clerical support to facility staff and act as initial contact person at main entrance of Wellness Center.

The Receptionist primary responsibilities will include:

  • Answers telephone, determines nature of call, and directs caller to appropriate individual or department.
  • Assists with administrative duties as directed including typing, copying, paging, utilizes computer, etc.
  • Files, collates, and arranges various information packets.
  • Receives, sorts, and collates mail for distribution to residents. Forwards mail to responsible parties as directed.
  • Greets all visitors, and responds to phone calls, in a pleasant, professional tone.
  • Provides directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, salesmen, surveyors, etc.
  • Reports suspicious persons/telephone calls to supervisor.
  • Reports equipment malfunction/breakdown immediately.
  • Takes accurate messages for personnel and residents as needed.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all resident and Village personal information.
  • Other related duties as directed by the supervisor.
  • Event Guest Assistance including; serving as the first point of contact for guests arriving for private events, meetings, or facility rentals. Welcome visitors, confirm the event they are attending, and provide clear directions to the appropriate room or space within the building. Help maintain a positive guest experience by answering basic questions about the facility, restrooms, parking, and event location. Escalate any issues, concerns, or special guest requests to the Director of Marketing and Community Services.

What is required as a Receptionist?

  • Prior receptionist experience helpful.
  • Experience with computers.
