​Salary: $80,000-$90,000

Job Summary

As the manager of Infection Prevention, you will lead the development and maintenance of an infection-control program. The goals include striving for quality of care and the safety of patients and staff. In accordance with all protocols and standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years relevant professional experience in a health care facility (acute care preferred).
• Professional experience supervising, managing, or training staff
• Ability to work independently and/or within a diverse team
• Develops, implements, and evaluates the annual facility-wide prevention and control plan.
• Analyzes infection trends, and reports data to leadership and public health authorities.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; leads facility readiness for regulatory surveys.
• Provides education and training on infection prevention practices for staff and patients.
• Manages staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
• Knowledge of standards from the Centers for Disease Control and The Joint Commission.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree or four or more years Director level experience in hospital housekeeping industry with high customer/client contact required
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC®) is strongly preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
• Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures
• Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
