Job Description: Safety Zone Driving Academy is looking for a responsible and patient Driving Instructor to join our Team. This position offers flexible scheduling, allowing instructors to choose their driving hours while helping new drivers gain the skills and confidence needed to drive safely.

As a Driving Instructor, you will work one-on-one with students to teach safe driving techniques, evaluate their progress, and help prepare them for their driver’s license test.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct comprehensive driving lessons for students of various skill levels, ensuring they develop confidence and competence behind the wheel

· Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey

· Prepare learners for licensing exams by teaching essential road rules, safety procedures, and vehicle handling techniques

· Maintain a safe and organized training environment by adhering to all safety protocols and traffic laws

· Manage scheduling of lessons efficiently, ensuring timely instruction and optimal use of resources

· Communicate clearly with students, parents (if applicable), and team members to track progress and address concerns

· Keep accurate records of lessons delivered, student performance, and any incidents or observations during training sessions

Qualifications:

· Driving Instructor Certification – from the State of Indiana (not required to apply but required to complete upon hiring. The cost of the online course is reimbursed upon passing and completion of the Certification on your first paycheck)

· Proven experience in driving, with a clean driving record and valid driver’s license suitable for instructing learners

· Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively

· Experience in classroom management or adult education is highly desirable

· Demonstrated ability to work well with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels

· Excellent communication skills to motivate learners and foster a positive learning environment

· Knowledge of traffic laws, safety standards, and best practices in driver education

· Prior classroom experience or working with students in an educational setting is a plus
