Radio Restaurant is hiring for its outdoor Patio season. We are looking for seasonal employees. Are you ready to create one of the best restaurants uptown. We are building a team that will provide wonderful service to our guests, understand and sell our Latin menu and creative drinks. You will be the face of Radio. Can you be the life of the party and sling out perfectly crafted drinks at the same time. We will be hosting large 500 person events this summer, where we will be running 4 bars at a time, in addition to running the regular restaurant service. Possibilities to become a parttime or fulltime part of the team. Must speak fluent English & Spanish.
What You’ll Do:
For weary travelers, you’re more than a bartender. You’re a friendly face at the end of a long flight or a stressful day. In addition to expertly mixing cocktails and serving up ice-cold drafts, you are an ultra-friendly ambassador for the Hotel.
Sure, you will be preparing drinks, taking orders, and serving plates of deliciousness. But more than that, you’ll take your food and beverage expertise and mix thoroughly with your knowledge of the city to give our guests an unforgettable experience. Piece of cake, right?
Here are a few things you can expect:
Where You’ve Been:
We’re looking for someone with a High School diploma (or equivalent) as well as previous bartending experience and a current Food Handler’s Permit. This person will help to create a fun and engaging bar environment for guests; build relationships with regulars who will return; must be able to lift 25 lbs. The ability to think on your feet and work calmly under pressure is essential, so any background working in those types of environments is a plus.
When You’re Here:
This probably goes without saying but you’ll be on your feet a lot. There will be occasions when you may be carrying/lifting up to 25 pounds, walking, bending/twisting and climbing stairs. You'll put your 1–2 years bartending experience, knowledge of classic cocktails and wine, high-volume NY bar experience, and food handlers certification to good use. Since people tend to go to bars at night, you’ll be needed to work flexible schedules including weekends. But wait, there’s a great upside: in exchange for your flexibility we offer excellent pay, hotel discounts, and the opportunity to be part of an anything-but-standard growing hotel company.
