Experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician– Full Time (Topeka, KS)

Monarch Investment & Management Group is seeking a skilled, dependable, and self‑motivated Maintenance Technician to support our apartment communities in Topeka. This is a hands‑on role for a true maintenance professional who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and being the go‑to expert across multiple properties.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Consistent daytime hours with year‑round stability.

Pay

$24-27 per hour, paid bi‑weekly plus up to $750 quarterly bonuses!

What You’ll Do:

• Support Topeka properties with maintenance needs, special projects, and make‑ready turns
• Complete work orders efficiently with strong attention to detail
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances
• Assist with preventative maintenance and property improvements
• Ensure units and common areas meet Monarch’s high standards
• Work independently while collaborating with on‑site teams

The Experience We Like To See:

• 4+ years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent
• 6+ months experience in apartment maintenance
• Dry walling including painting and carpentry
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, sweeting copper pipe preferred
• Basic knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures
• Basic repair and/or diagnosis of appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposal
• Preferred experience in HVAC and boiler system knowledge
• Some knowledge of water heaters both electric and gas
• Problem solving skills
• Be able to provide great customer service to our residents
• Have basic safety training or be willing to go through basic training within 30/days
